He's one of the most arrogant players in the comp agreed, but he can seriously slog it. He plays the same way if they are 0/100 or 5/25, just sees ball and tries to hit it towards the nearest car park. Once a year it comes off for him so good luck to him. Not many blokes at all in the league who...
Speaking of who pays who......no chance Cooper or Parker are playing for nothing considering the number of clubs that went after them, subbies included. So has Cox left or are Cashy just paying half a dozen again this year? And GI, maybe greedy Grubich has decided to play for nothing. Pfft.
Neither of those, closer to the mark with being burnt my Mully in the past. Or maybe I'm just one of the many with a strong dislike for the Day sisters. Those girls are right up there with that flog from Boronia. Or maybe I find it poor that a team can have the little ginger superstar from...
Mully have been a surprise packet this year. Dean Day has led them well and the inclusion of Shaw for finals is big for their chances. Don't reckon either of the top 2 would relish playing them in a final. And Ashy can be a handful on their day.
I didn't think Mully would make it this last...
haha...like it. Mick Lewis is one crazy dude, good luck to any team that takes him on
My 2 cents on the other topics....
Premiers - Ashy (with another signing just to top them off)
Relegation - Boronia & ED
Medal - Taylor & Grubich to go 1-2
He was mentioned last week as having 'signed', apparently Australian under 19s player (or maybe even captain?). Would have thought he'd be playing district cricket. Fairly decent inclusion I would have thought at this time of year. Can't see scores on the web so maybe its bs.
GI - Taylor, Armstrong & Grubich (100%)
Ashy - Cox, Swift, the bloke from Qld (name escapes me), Gotch ?
MA - Pom, Vance, Hargaves
Not interested in the rest, just looking at the best sides
No argument from me with Taylor. Sure, he's a chucker plain and simple, but he's dominated the season thus far (everyone misses out once or twice don't they?) and deserves to lead big in the medal count. Doesn't he go home soon? Problem with getting a Pom on the county scene is their clubs want...
There was an ECA All stars game played a few years back against Ringwood at Donvale. It was for charity though, post bushfires from memory. Few ex footballers plus a mix across the ECA clubs. But let's be honest, what is the point of an all-star game in suburban cricket ? Other than for people...
Really ? Thought someone had to get a result for the round to count ? When grounds can be spread so far and wide in the same league someone somewhere is going to at least get some play. Pointless having a reserve day then.
