There’s also a very good chance South Africa has one of the shit batch of dukes that disintegrates after 30 overs.

Our ball died a bit after 40 overs too. It’s still moving, the new ball will do plenty. We need early wickets though.

Honestly I already reckon we have enough, although not comfortably so.

Slightly different for Green I feel given this is literally his first international game back from a major time out of the game, batting out of position and on a pitch that’s pretty much impossible as a top order batsman. Also way younger than Khawaja. Either way the WI series will probably be...

The pitch is certainly still doing enough to bundle SA out under 150.

First 2 innings were magnificent bowling but this current one has had some atrocious batting.

It was an absolute clinic, some of the best fast bowling I ever watched I reckon. Starc started off with 3 wobble seamers in exactly the same spot and then swung one in to Markrams off stump. Honestly the whole day was great bowling.

The ball is seaming a ridiculous amount, we could definitely end up obliterating their line up if it keeps doing this

Yeah he just didn’t move his feet at all and squared up to one that didn’t really do much in the air.

I’m the biggest Green supporter out there but ******** me knicking off to an off stump half volley is seriously poor.

Don’t mind Kuhnemann for ODIs, wouldn’t pick him for T20s though.

I definitely know what you’re talking about by the “feeling”, it’s really hard to put a finger on why. Maybe it’s just knowing that you’ve got the batsman under a lot of pressure.

That wasn’t a line up, just a list of good batsman in our team lol. I’m not opening with Smith. There’s probably 0% chance Head opens.

Yeah, other than that opening slot though we actually have a really impressive batting line up. Khawaja, Smith, Green, Head, Webster, Carey is a lineup I can get behind.

Konstas only averaged 2.5 more than Marnus in the last BGT. Marnus faced on average 66 balls per innings Konstas faced 34.5 per innings. I trust Marnus more to make it through a tough opening spell, which is very important against SA in England, than Konstas, who might blast some runs but I’d...

Squared up was the wrong word, he doesn’t get his front pad across to the ball properly, he often just plants it forward and plays with his head and hands. So he hits it fine but if he gets one that seams past his bat there’s nothing to stop it from bowling him or just getting plumb lbw. Which...

I do find it interesting because he’s probably less likely to get out getting behind it but won’t score as much as he would trying to work it down leg. Although he did flick some through mid wicket so it might just be a matter of getting his eye in before he tries to hit them too hard.
