Re: Eastern Cricket Association 2010/11
Boroondara Council long been over-officious about some of their grounds. Look at Canterbury as a good example. They also wouldn't let Camberwell play T20 cricket at their home ground, so North Balwyn hosted a game a while ago.
Re: Victorian Premier Cricket - 2010/11
It's from Ringwood to Dandenong. He didn't need it when he left and played as a professional player, but this year he's playing as an amateur so requires to be cleared.
Best Batting Teams
1. Prahran
1. Forsyth
2. Wild
3. Heywood
4. Salpietro
5. Schlittler
6. De Bolfo
7. Coates
Also has Rogers to slide in there while the Champions League is on. On a super flat deck, they'll be very difficult to knock over, and with Hussey and McGain to come in around...
Re: Victorian Premier Cricket - 2010/11
I think the big player for them will be Seymour. He can bowl some gas when he gets fit, but that's the biggest problem for him; staying fit. Salpietro will bowl some handy spinners for them too, although Prahran doesn't usually take spin too well. Guess...
Re: Best Attacks
Ah, knew that I'd leave someone obvious out. I think Cleary is there as back-up for when the inevitable injuries hit. Wright will definitely be the first option, after his finish to the year for the Bushrangers.
Best Attacks
1. St. Kilda
1. Mueller
2. Babula
3. Cleary
4. Sykes
5. Graf
Despite the loss of Beer, have reasonable back-up in Mitch Sykes; plus add to their pace stocks through the unofficial recruitment of Mark Cleary. Were the best attack last year, and seem to be placed similarly this...
Re: Victorian Premier Cricket - 2010/11
Hmm, a little unfair; Melbourne have a pretty darn good record of bringing young kids through the grades. You can say that they tend to get the best talented kids through their connections, but they're not serial poachers.
Re: Victorian Premier Cricket - 2010/11
Had heard that Carl would be back at Essendon, but I would have thought that he'd be down at North Melbourne with the O'Sullivan connection.
Re: Victorian Premier Cricket - 2010/11
Yeah, pretty sure Mash batted at three in Two Day cricket, and opened in the OD stuff.
Hearing that the Dees are chasing a young Dandenong bowler pretty hard.
Re: Victorian Premier Cricket - 2010/11
Pretty sure that Walsh is in Warnabool for university, which would make a pre-season somewhat difficult you'd imagine!
Jeffs is from the Sunshine Coast.
Victorian Premier Cricket - 2010/11
New season. New thread. New questions to be answered.
Confirmed moves.
Chris Rogers to Prahran
Shane Jones to Footscray
Andrew Fekete to Camberwell
Nathan Walsh to Fitzroy
Allan Wise back to Richmond
Peter Manser to Carlton
Departures from...
Re: Victorian Premier Cricket 09/10
Andrew Kent appointed Melbourne Captain/Coach.
Shane Jones cleared back to Footscray. Forsyth rumoured to be heading to Orrong Road.
Re: Victorian Premier Cricket 09/10
Tasmanian Contracts Finalised, No Gulbis.
Is he going to stay, and just take the coin that is freed up by Welsford moving on?
Also, no Cosgrove in Victoria. I think there's a few bowlers in the competition pretty relieved about that!
Re: Victorian Premier Cricket 09/10
See, I was under the impression that Gulbis was definitely going to be leaving. Was never going to get a contract at all with Victoria.
Hmm, you seem to be talking about Jonesy with the mention of the Prahran coach.
But I heard that you'd been sniffing...
