My mail is the majority of Deepdene players would pay to have Sheldon sent away. Not real popular a his new club but is anyone who has dealt with him surprised?
Interested to know where the Deep pockets comes from. My understanding is Parso gets paid (a lot) as does Arosha along with the non playing coach. No wealthy benefactor tipping in loads of cash (like Ashy) which begs the question where are all these dollars coming from? ECA myth Deepdene has...
You have to love the myth about teams playing big dollars but some do like a Cashburton. I reckon the key is to pay guys off the books and get two poms and you're in the mix. Took in some of the Dunstan granny and wasn't impressed with the standard. Monty are almost a vets team and Mully looked...
What a pathetic attempt to try and rain on a parade, I truly feel sorry for you. Well done to the Bears and that makes I believe four different Dunstan winners in a row. Deepdene won it from 8th the previous year so there's hope for us all, but not xxxx, there's no hope for a puddle of monkey...
I've been following all of our BC posters closely and think Ashburton Willows and Glen Iris will be a cracking grand final with the Willow's experience giving them the edge.
I'm amazed the Bears got in, according to their many detractors weren't they supposed to fold? And paintball, you can get a nasal spray for your problem.
Looks like the predictions of Deepdene scrapping for a finals berth have been proven wide of the mark. A great job from KT to get Bulleen into the Dunstan granny but that side just isn't built for any kind of long term success, North old boys/Bulleen B grade cricketers to go down.
I'm sure any Hawthorn supporter would have enjoyed that. I myself enjoyed watching Hawthorn grass a hat full of chances on an even bigger stage at the Dunstan grand final. The old karma bus claimed quite a few victims that day.
I'd say those Willows identities (100?) who bought memberships to watch Streak play on the syntho would be feeling short changed. I wasn't exited by the idea of Streak playing on synthetic and I'm even less exited with him not appearing at all. Some people should change their handle to pinocchio.
Rain robbed GI of victory or gave them a better chance? Anyone here bowled with a wet ball? Advantage batting side every time. I never read much into results where the weather clearly has a bearing on the performances. I'm just glad they appeared to get a fair chunk of the game in. If a certain...
You know cymbals, they're a percussion instrument that you bang together. And you're quite correct the umpire/s do make the final decision on the state of the gound and pitch and they've never in the history of cricket solicited the opinions of the playing captains or been coerced in in way. The...
Don't let let facts get in the way of a good story, I got the skinny from a Dunstan senior turf umpire I know. Ask yourself why every other Dunstan shield game got away that weekend. The wicket at Ashy was dry as a bone but a used wicket on the edge of the square was damp. Common sense suggested...
Someone involved at Hawthorn having a go at catching in finals, the ironies not lost on me. I can recall a Dunstan grand final at Central reserve where a certain teams catching during the game resembled a marching band all playing the cymbals.
You do seem to spend a lot of time offering to meet people in car parks. I'd make sure there aren't any primary schools near by to avoid any potential problems with the law.
