08/09 season

With the premiership all but already given to MGS.... who look to be the team to beat next year?........... as i am from carey we only have 4 players leaving the team for next year Yeo, Chance, Reid, Potter....... with the likes of Richardson, Gaff, O'Hern, Parker and Loorham will be a very hard team to beat

your thoughts???

Re: 08/09 season

scotch only has 2, maybe even 1 leaving the team, which should make for an experienced and talented squad next year with the likes of mcmillan, eldridge, muttdon and mather having stellar seasons
eldridge returning with the ball next year, he could do some serious damage

If you thinkCarey have a chance then that makes GGS a championside!!:p

Re: 08/09 season

Its pretty obvious you are all saying your own schools. Here are my Bets.

MGS-$3 (Will have the best bowling attack in the Comp, lacking any new X-Factor talent with bat)
Scotch-$3.10 (Only 1 Player Leaving, Clayton?? Who is a state player, Things look good)
Xavier-$4.50 (Need their superstars to fire frequently)
Hailebury-$5.50 (They may be a surprise package, one word SCHOLARSHIPS)
CGS-$10
Carey-$14
Skevs-$16
GC-$20 (They are so overated)
Wesley-$40 (Easy-Beats)
BGS-$50 (Booring Random team)
GGS-$100,000

what superstars do xavier have???
ryan is technically very good but only gets 20s and 30s (that doesnt make u a superstar)
donellan cant hold a stick to save his life and is a decent but not super bowler.

the only one close to that term is curtain

MGS' batting will be severely dented with Keath's basketball scholarship to the AIS. He's still unsure whether or not to take it but the move would give him a much greater chance of playing college basketball in the USA.

LIkely to see Tom Morris' younger brother tim step up, has dominated at yr 9 level. Also bettsy's brother could be a chance as a yr8 going into yr 9. A bett/bett spin combo could be quite an interersting combo.

Re: 08/09 season

caulfield will be boosted with a young influence with wyatt, lannigen and gotch looking to play 1's...

caulfield will have to fill a huge whole with gun players leaving:
tambo
brute

Re: 08/09 season

scotch will undoubtably have the most experienced team in the comp next year, with only 2 of the existing team leaving
lead by macmillan, eldridge, muttdon and possibly macmahon, they will be a force to be reckoned with

Re: 08/09 season
