2nd ODI: Bangladesh v India

India leading the series 1-0 after they won the 1st match by 5 wickets.
I think India will be too strong again but Bangladesh showed some good signs in the 1st match

Turned out to be a good game in the end. Bangladesh fell quite a way short in the end but it was probably no doubt entertaining.

Gambhir fell not long after his got his century. He was on 101 when Syed Rasel bowled him. India reached 8/284 after their allotment of overs, with most of the wickets falling due to the chase for quick runs. Dravid managed to stay undefeated on 42. Dinesh Mongia also got 17.

Mohammad Rafique turned out to be the best of the bowlers, taking 3/59, Abdur Razzak took 2/59 and Syed Rasel picked up 2/49.

Bagladesh started off well enough but struggled from there on in with none of the top order batters making a real impact. The middle order was forced to pick up the slack and they did well but the asking rate became too much and perished trying to chase runs. Habibul Bashard scored 43 but did so very slowly, taking 88 balls. Mashrafe Mortaza blasted 42 off 22 balls which included 5 sixes. Aftab Ahmed also got 40 with the keeper Mushfiqur Rahim making 35.

But there was no big score from the Bangladesh boys and that proved their downfall in the end. Piyush Chawla took 3/37 for India with Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan taking two wickets each.

Bangladesh made 9/238 in the end, facing their full 49 overs. They ended up losing by 48 runs.

Man of the Match was Gautam Gambhir for his match-winning century.

The final game between these two is on Tuesday at Chittagong.
