2nd ODI: Zimbabwe v West Indies at Harare

West Indies will be looking to bounce back from the bad start to the series. Zimbabwe would be thrilled to take a 2-0 lead.

Oh dear, Devon Smith is bowled on the sixth ball of the match.

West Indies 3-1 after 1.

not a very good start for the windies. form hasnt been great of late.

Gayle and Morton finally starting to hit some boundaries here.
West Indies 56-1 after 12.

Re: 2nd ODI: Zimbabwe v West Indies at Harare

Gayle retired hurt on 58.

Morton is now up to 59 after Chanderpaul joined him in the middle.
West Indies is 133-1 after 26, but even when they're up the news is bad.
Gayle was apparently stretchered off for x-rays.

West Indies 3/175 after 35 overs. Morton was just out for 78, falling to Utseya who bowled very well in game one.

Windies aren't having too much trouble, they should be aiming for a big total here, they have enough wickets in hand for an onslought later on.

Re: 2nd ODI: Zimbabwe v West Indies at Harare

West Indies end up on 9/286. Ravi Rampaul smashed 26 not out off 11 balls at the end of the innings to propel the Windies to a pretty good total. His cameo included three sixes.

Chibhabha was the only multiple wickt-taker with 2/36 off four overs.

Zimbabwe face a big test here, we'll see how they go after the innings break.

Re: 2nd ODI: Zimbabwe v West Indies at Harare

Back to the Zimbabwe we know best.

5/67 after 23 overs. They're going at not even three runs per over with over eight runs an over required to win the game now. Brendan Taylor has been the only significant scorer, making 27 after opening the innings. The rest have either struggled to break 10 or only just got there.

Bravo is the chief wicket-taker with two scalps and the tidy figures of 2/9.

Re: 2nd ODI: Zimbabwe v West Indies at Harare

Dabengwa and Chigumbura fall an over apart as Zimbabwe slip to 7/134. Staurt Matsikenyeri is 40 not out and their last hope of winning as the required rate is out to 9.18 an over.

Re: 2nd ODI: Zimbabwe v West Indies at Harare

Just as I say that, a short time later, Matsikenyeri is out for 40.

Zimbabwe 8/140 now, required rate is almost 10 an over with Gary Brent and Utseya in.

Re: 2nd ODI: Zimbabwe v West Indies at Harare

Zimbabwe all out for 176. Marlon Samuels bowled Utseya for 22 and then Gary Brent nicked Lewis to the keeper for 12.

Lewis finished with figures of 3/43 with Bravo and Powell taking two wicket each.

An easy win to the West Indies, claiming victory by 110 runs.

Good to see a big win. And it was pretty much a team win too, with just about everyone contributing.
