3rd ODI: India vs South Africa at Belfast

The third game is on but so far there has been no play. With the series at one game each, this weather is preventing what could be a very good finish to the series.

At the moment, a wet outfield, and damp bowler's run-ups are preventing play from starting. The next inspection is due at 2pm local time, about 35 minutes from now.

India XI: MS Dhoni+, R Dravid*, SC Ganguly, KD Karthik, Z Khan, Piyush Chawla, RR Powar, I Sharma, RP Singh, SR Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh

South Africa XI: MV Boucher+, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, HH Gibbs, AJ Hall, JH Kallis*, CK Langeveldt, A Nel, M Ntini, T Tshabalala, MN van Wyk

Re: 3rd ODI: India vs South Africa at Belfast

Ajit Agarkar has struck twice as South Africa find themselves 2/24 after 9 overs. Van Wyk and Kallis were both removed for ducks as they both fell while AB de Villiers watched at the other end.

de Villiers is on 13, Herschelle Gibbs not out on 11.

Re: 3rd ODI: India vs South Africa at Belfast

South Africa wobbled to 7/148 off their 31 overs. Herschelle Gibbs scored 56 with Justin Kemp making a run-a-ball 61. Ganguly strangled the South Africa middle order and picked up 2/24 in doing so. Sachin Tendulkar took 2/10 from the last over of the innings.

It was never going to be enough. Despite Tendulkar, Gambhir and Ganguly going early, the reliable Yuvraj Singh picked up the slack and made a fine 59 not out. He was ably supported by captain Rahul Dravid who struck 38 runs.

India finished up on 4/152, winning by 6 wickets with four balls to spare.

Yuvraj Singh took out the Man of the Match award and tied Sachin Tendulkar for the Man of the Series award.

India won the series 2-1.

did you read any reports on the crowds- are many people showing up? if i recall correctly, summertime is big for Gaelic football and hurling in Ireland, so i wonder if many people, and the media, would pay too much mind to cricket.
