4th ODI: India vs West Indies

The final match of the 4-ODI series will start soon. India leads the series 2-1, and the Windies will be looking to tie it up.

So far, India has batted first in all 3 matches. I wonder if both captains might prefer to see the Windies bat first today, just to experience a different situation for once.

For India: Raina, Gambhir, Sreesanth and Powar are all out.
For West Indies: late decisions will be made regarding the injury status of Samuels and Bravo. After two fantastic batting performances, Chanderpaul took the third match off, and it'll be interesting to see if he can put up another fine display today. Ironically, the one he missed was the one the West Indies won.

One thing to note is that this is the final match for the West Indies before the World Cup, but India still have a 4-ODI series with Sri Lanka upcoming, so the two teams may take a slightly different approach to the match.

West Indies won the toss and chose to field.

India Uthappa, Ganguly, Dravid, Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Dhoni, Pathan, Agarkar, Harbhajan Singh, Kumble, Zaheer Khan

West Indies Gayle, Chanderpaul, Lara, Samuels, Smith, Smith, Simmons, Emrit, Ramdin, Powell, Bradshaw

Uthappa hits Powell for 2 straight sixes, but then Powell gets him to hit it to Gayle on the very next ball. Uthappa out for 28.

India 47-1 after 6.3

Re: 4th ODI: India vs West Indies

India 74-1 after 11 overs, looks like it's going to be another high scoring affair.

Re: 4th ODI: India vs West Indies

India 127-1 after 20

Ganguly and Dravid are really putting together a good partnership. It's time to bring in Gayle to pick up a wicket or slow the runs down.

Re: 4th ODI: India vs West Indies

Gayle did it again! He broke the partnership in his first over!
He got Ganguly to come down the track for a big swing and he missed and was stumped.

Ganguly out for a fine 68.

India 148-2 after 25 overs.

Re: 4th ODI: India vs West Indies

India 168-2 after 30

After another big start, the run rate has slowed down a little. Gayle and Bradshaw have done a good job. (And Emrit's and Samuel's last few overs were fairly economical too.)
