4th ODI: Sri Lanka v England at Colombo

England lead the series 2-1.

Maharoof replaced by Lokuarachchi, other than that, same teams as previously.

Sri Lanka won the toss and will bat.

Huge trouble for Sri Lanka early, as they lost Tharanga and Jayasuriya.

And now Jayawardene is out too!

Sri Lanka 20-3 after 10.4 overs. They're scoring runs and losing wickets at extremely bad rates here.
England may not need the complete 100 overs to win this ODI.

Sangakkara made 69 and Silva 67 as they took Sri Lanka to 9/211. After they were dismissed, no-one showed anything with the bat which summed up the other batters pretty well. Anderson and Sidebottom both finished with three scalps.

In reply, England are 2/88 in the 23rd over. Alistair Cook is 37 not out and Ian Bell was just dismissed for 25. Malinga and Lokuarachchi have the breakthroughs.

Wow, after that start for Sri Lanka, that's a really impressive partnership from Sangakkara and Silva. Too bad Sri Lanka still probably didn't get anywhere near enough runs.

England is up to 133-2 after 31 overs. (Cook 57*, Pietersen 26*)

They only need 79 runs from the last 19 overs. With the amount of wickets remaing, that really shouldn't be a problem.

England 188-2 after 42 overs

Cook on 80, Pietersen on 57.

England needs 24 runs from 8 overs. There's no way they can lose this.

Fernando gets 2 quick wickets (including Cook for 80), but it doesn't matter, England is too close to the target here.
