5th ODI: Sri Lanka vs England at Colombo (RPS)

England come into the match having already won the one-day series. This game represents their chance to make the end result 4-1 and then focus on the upcoming tour games and then of course the test series.

They've have been impressive so far and their one-day form seems to be making some sort of turnaround. Graeme Swann has been a handy addition to the team but he won't play in this fixture because of a torn hamstring which has put him out for the rest of the tour. This will force England to maybe bring back Panesar as the spinning option or they'll have extract some overs out of Ravi Bopara should he get the opportunity to play.

Sri Lanka have only had one standout performer in each discipline so far with Farveez Maharoof (ball) and Tillekeratne Dilshan (bat) really saving Sri Lanka from embarassment. Only Dilhara Fernando has had any real impact with the ball besides Maharoof. They will need to rectify that today otherwise they will find themselves on the back foot yet again.

No whispers of any changes to the Sri Lankan team as yet but there could be some late alterations. The series is gone and the Lankans must comtemplate if they want to try and make the series result more respectable or do they give the younger players a go? Muttiah Muralitharan won't play this game and is being saved for the test series.

England will be wanting to get another win on the board and boost that confidence before the upcoming test series while Sri Lanka will want to try and save face in what has been a below-par performance. Expect a well-fought game here.
