As you may of seen in the BigCricket News section Andrew McDonald who used to be coach of the Melbourne Renegades is now the Aussie coach for all 3 formats of the game.
 
It seems McDonald may have been the only candidate for the position so was appointed quickly as we've seen. Gillespie didn't want the job after what had happened to Langer while any other candidate went fairly quiet.

Hopefully he will do a good job but if he doesn't then the knives will be out. Still also very disappointed at the way Langer was treated too.

There were options but the other candidates decided to opt out.
