Earlier today eddie_vrv6 announced his retirement from the BigCricket Fantasy Cricket league in a press conference

"It is with a tinge of sadness that I announce my retirement from this game, one that I help organise and run in the beginning. Unfotuantley time restraints have hindered my time on the board of late - this was also the main reason of me resinding the Captainsy to Bennycoff after one season. This problem has grown more and more, and it has come to the stage where I jump rather than be pushed.

One thing I will take out of my time here, is that I set up the mighty FIGJAMs who, although on tough times now, won Both Premierships in the Comps fledgling season. I know that the leaders and club stawalts in Benny, South, Will, Youngie and others will lead the club well and I wish them all the best. I will look back in from time to time and I look forward to seeing the best team in the cosmos back where they belong - Number One."

Disappointing to see you go Eddie but a fair decision. If you ever manage to find some spare time and can contribute regularly then we'd love you back at the club.

Skipper Bennycoff stated, "It is a sad day for the FIGJAMS and the BigCricket league today. Eddie was a terrific player, he was a great batsman and never let us down and was a fine contributor in both forms of the game. He created the SA FIGJAMS and took me under his wing and helped me develop into a better leader and cricketer and I appreciate that. One thing I will say now is that the club name will never be changed, it will always remain the SA FIGJAMS. On behalf of the club I'd like to thank Eddie for everything he has done for the FIGJAMS and the league, he will be missed, all the best in future endeavours".

Eddie brought me to this forum, and was an absoulte legend of the board, If he isn't inducted into the Hallf of fame, then I will leave as well.

Sad to see you go, Ed. Ed was a pioneer of this board and helped the Figjams to 2 premierships in the first season of the competition.

Was a great player and a regular contributer to this competition but it seems other committments have got in the way of his participation.

Me and Jen wish him well.

Due to dwindling finances after a very poor season, the South Aussie FIGJAMs have now decided to move to Victoria, the greatest state, now that the South Australian we had is no longer among us.
