anyone got any thoughts as to how the Grand Finals will pan out over the weekend, with some showers and possible rain forcast????

1's - Wendouree to be rolled for 164 (205 in front) in the 48th over on Saturday. BRCC to be 3/130 at the end of the day and have just enough time in between showers on Sunday to jag the 76 for victory.

2's - North to be rolled for 164 (119 in front) in the 48th over on Saturday. BRCC to whip up the runs by the end of the day. Sunday is free to watch the 1's come back from the depths ala 06/07!

3's - Wendouree to have that game wrapped up by tea on Saturday. Will then head up to the Eastern on the turps celebrating a hollow victory against a team that was only there by default.

4's - Mt. Clear to dominate with the bat, 400 at tea, declare then roll North for 56 with the help of "I'm too nice a bloke to say not out when you appeal" Johnny O'Brien triggering everyone in sight.......ha ha, I said in sight, poor old Johnny is struggling with that these days!

5's - Mt. Clear to bat out the day, make 390 total to be 540 in front. Naps to rue a bad 1st Innings with the bat.

Who really knows, I think I'm just being a bit silly. It seems though the 1's, 2's and 4's are very much still in the balance. Hopefully the weather doesn't play too much of a part costing the trailing team a chance to redeem themselves.

You won Heath. Thats all that matters and trust that Johnno got the man of the match. 8 wickets in the 2nd dig capped off an amazing year. Is 57 a record in season.

This may explain "why" Razza, this is Titan's other post on Big Cricket (from a different forum/suject)

We are a club from a country league in central victoria. Our league is fairly strong and performs well in Bendigo Country Week Div 1 each year.

Our club has good youth coming through but lacks good quality players around them.

In order to prevent our young players being smashed every week and becoming disheartened and given the difficulties of attracting players to country areas we have decided to offer some payment.

We will be looking for 2 or 3 cricketers who would be top/middle order bats and medium - fast bowlers with proven records.

We may also look to combine duties with coaching the club.

We may be able to arrange some employment in the case of someone relocating to the area.

I am wondering what the 'going' ball park rate for cricketers is so if anyone wants to share amounts they know players are paid and for what I would appreciate it.

If anyone is interested in the proposed arrangement please P.M me your cricketing C.V and expected renumeration and our committee will arrange an interview if appropriate.
