That's fairly emphatic from Riverside....
Embarrassing for the Leader who want to charge us for reading local cricket stories yet publish fake news

Not sure the journalist needs to be embarrassed, further to that twitter exchange was what the reply from the clappers president was "Hi Luke, talking to his people at the moment to see what we can sort out. Would be great if we can get him for a game or two". That is what he went with in the article. We should be thankful that they cover our comp and in my experience (footy and cricket) are all too willing to give clubs exposure. All for Riverside to take the pi$$ on their own media platforms but when you make the journalist look silly that's just a lack of respect for what the blokes job is IMO

Thanks for clarifying, didn't know about that text message. Not much the Leader could do if it's coming from the President.

Are we going to have to wait until a couple of days before the season starts for the fixture again?

Absolutely farcical that the shield grades haven’t been announced...

The karma bus caught up with Lower Eltham yesterday.
Will say, if you are going to claim a catch 2 metres over the boundary line, you should be made to stand where you caught it until the umpires can make the call of the dismissal.
The fact that same player dropped a sitter 2 overs later in front of the faithful was satisfying to watch no doubt.

why should you have to stand there? if fielder says its out, then its out....if you say he didnt catch it inside play, then name and shame or otherwise just leave it alone....being cryptic achieves nothing.

That area near the fence where the player took the catch is becoming a real problem & can anyone of you really think you look down immediately after you catch a ball , its not that simple & I find that pretty rich coming from guys who now try to promote themselves as never doing anything wrong ,
Obviously forgot about Bundoora not that long ago ?
