BARCLAY SHIELD 2022/23

Talking cricket into existance this week

Riverside Rosanna
Banyule Heidelberg
NEW
Research
Diamond Creek Rosebank
Macleod
Epping

What has happened at Banyule did they stop paying their players? Crook gone, Hannan gone. They could be Money bound if they keep trotting out sides like they've named so far.

They sacked Crook from all reports.
Hannan going to play after Xmas. however your mail is spot on re the $$ side of things. Players weren’t happy with the about of coin they were getting paid. One of the boys said thanks but no thanks and I’ll take the extra $$ Epping are offering

NEW Banyule - Tipping a boil over with the Bears rolling NEW, inexeperinced batting lineup not helped with one of the more experienced bats already out.
Epping to defend 177 against Heidelberg.
Macleod not to have any issues getting 77 runs against Research.
Rosebank still an unkown but tipping them to get it done against Riverside in a one dayer.
Match of the round is Rosanna and Diamo, tipping Diamo to get the runs in the last couple of overs, not sold on Rosannas bowling attack.

Anyone know what happened at Research v Macleod.
Live scoring was horrible most of the day.
edit -
Scores have been updated. T wise in some good form it seems. 220 odd runs hasn’t been dismissed yet

Think the NRT20 needs an overhaul.
Heard a great suggestion - Make it a strictly 25 and under competiton and play it on a THURSDAY night instead of Tuesday.

Give a good chance for clubs to blood their youngsters more and they in turn can play in front of a bigger crowd on a Thursday night with most clubs doing meals and having the bar open.
