Barclay Shield 2025/26

Smashed the remaining stumps out of the ground after being bowled in the process his bat went flying.
Should get three games down to two with early plea.
Alternatively give him a game for every club he has played for according to PlayCricket app. Oops that means season well and truly over.
Looks like it’s got a run with The Grade Cricketer boys

From what I’ve seen, he missed all three stumps with his bat.

Not a great look.

Some good matches on this weekend to see where some teams are at

Rosanna vs Heidelberg
Bundoora vs NEW
Epping vs Macleod
Rosebank
vs Diamond Creek
Riverside vs Bundoora United

Chris Salm back for Riverside - they're gunna be hard to beat moving forward

Would still be more than good enough in today’s standard. As was the case last time, don’t underestimate how good a bat he can be at this level.

But, they’re 1-1-1 and I reckon the rain saved them last week. They’re still carrying a few, but who isn’t these days.

It’s an all rounders game at the local level these days.
Teams trying to carry a “bottom” 2 or 3 that can only do 1 discipline are found out more often than not.

An interesting post by LPCC stating that Banyule are not providing afternoon tea for their home games. Completely unacceptable and really dissappointing. Won’t be holding my breath expecting the DVCA to do anything about it, though.

Need to get your facts straight. The game is behind Olympic Park soccer ground where there is no facilities, water toilets or shade.

Every other club we have advised this too, was more than happy to work around the unfortunate ground facilities.

Mountain mole hill I would have thought.

The club always puts on a good spread at Beverly Road, and we are more than generous in providing post game drinks to the opposition.

Yes the DVCA should do something about the egregious post by LPCC.

Just saying.

Yeah an odd choice to post about it, but other clubs deal with the same issues for ‘home games’ without facilities and still make do. Wouldn’t say it’s all that hard to drive over afternoon tea from Beverley road, painful but probably an expectation.

No where to store it, as there is no rooms, shelter, water and 400 metre walk to toilets.

It’s not ideal for anyone.
