What a weekend of cricket. Literally right down to the last ball of the round.
Stiff to see 3 teams relegated in such a close season but we dont make the rules. Fair to say majority are happy to see the back of Riverside. Massive fall from grace for a "big club". BU very stiff after a great run chase to be relegated. Will JT stay?

I have to give massive credit to Epping though. I still have my doubts on where the club is going and there "2nds" bullying teams in G2 is a genuine disgrace but credit where credit is due. With the teams there putting on the park each week and majority of blokes stats looking average they somehow have finished 3rd and could potentially play off in a GF. Also i dont think Tom Emmins gets the praise he deserves. Year after year making big runs, cruical runs and you could say carrying the club on his back.

Exciting weekend ahead. Still think Rosanna are to strong for the other 3 teams though
 
Riverside....Honestly couldn't have happened to a better club. They can take their spirit of cricket award with them. lets see if the skipper bails on his club now that they're going down.
Rosebank were shithouse all year, so deserved. Will need to recruit well next year as their team isn't good enough
BU unlucky in the end with Macleod last ball win. but probably also deserved. another team where the skipper might jump ship. Heidelberg seems most likely from what I've heard

Let’s be honest there is a fair bit of “Tall Poppy syndrome” happening with Riverside. But they also seem to push the boundary on acceptable behaviour ie Dick Ball. It is also obvious that the Spirit of Cricket award presented in 2025 to Riverside really pissed people off.

But I believe Money Shield will be a tough year for all clubs in 26/27.

PS bring in Shield and Shield reserve next season.
 
The winds of change have already commenced down at Bundy utd. JT has stood aside & there were some challenging conversations on selection leading into the final round. Safe to say some players had the brazen bits on getting the chop & will not play again at doggieland. Some players happy to see the skipper move on.

From the outside looking in, JT is their best player so not sure why the need to force change. Not as if many other players were performing any better either.

Haven’t we heard he is leaving at the end of every season?

It’s either rubbish reporting every twelve months or it’s not healthy for the captain to float leaving every year.
