Like i said the main thing is that i cant calm down myself, im always like in a hurry and play a stupid shot which gets me out very easily. The solution that im looking for is a way to concentrate( relax) and bat for a long period of time.

I take it the link I gave you has not worked then?

Tell me why it has not worked, where your problems with the strategies are and we can suggest something different.

Your issue is the inability to focus; the nervousness is only because you know you will be unable to focus.

Mark Richardson had one way to deal with it:

"More than anything my pre-ball routine has helped me most in the first half hour of an innings. In between balls I assess how I'm feeling. I've got strategies to use if I'm overkeyed. If I'm overkeyed, I'll slow myself down, slow down my breathing; then when the bowler's at the top of his mark I get back in my stance and say the cue words that are critical for the conditions - "play it straight, get forward", or "get in behind it". Then when the bowler gets into his delivery stride I say "now" - my cue to look for the seams on the ball".

Mental skills preparation takes some planning and a lot of work. If you are looking for the 'magic key' there isn't one.

Once again I put it all down to sports physoclogists anyone who questions a players need of one is an absolute halfwit IMO.

micoach - If i were a good batsmen, i would watch the ball, concentrate and play according to the field.

And it's your blank mind that is preventing you from doing that at the moment right?

Re: batting problem

Good stuff mate. Where did you bat?
Try it during a longer game now and aim to bat for overs, not necessarily for runs.

You should get a batting promotion after that knock.
