I'd probably go with Smith just.

Sehwag and Gambhir would be up there also.

yeah they both had a good year. Ponting really ruined his year in India.

Has to be Chanderpaul. He averaged over 100 for 2008.

No one in the world is anywhere near that level of consistency.

Definately Chanderpaul. No one has come close to him. Smith second and Gambhir third.

I would have thought so.

If he was playing for any of the top 6 teams he would get more credit but because he plays for the West Indies he tends to get ignored a bit for some bizarre reason.

Yeah Amla is now my favourite south african player after his tremendous year but I think Chanderpaul has to be given credit.

If the West Indies were still dominating world cricket and he was batting the way he was the whole world would be screaming his name.
