Bowling Action

Re: Bowling Action

Storm I must say, that bowling action looks more like Andrew Flintoff's than it does Brett Lee.

We gotta bloke over here who has been in the county circles, Steve Chapman, doing wonders, gets the video out really knows his stuff, helped me understand alot more about the mechanics of bowlers, how feet should be placed in relation to the top half of the body

That's the key, having someone who can actually talk you through and show you where the common faults are and how best to rectify them.

Of course, not everyone will bowl the same, but minimising injury risk is the key.

Re: Bowling Action

hmm, well my pace is pretty quick now, but my shoulders still niggly, dunno whats wrong with it as the shoulder is stronger than ever, ive been exercising it alot. and i gave ti a month break. they only way i can think of it healing is surgery, which id like to avoid, but if its the cause of me not getting my pace then ill probally go with it.
It dosent cause much pain, but its discomforting and always nags me.

It makes me wonder though, what does make a pro bowler?

i mean some fast bowlers ive seen dont look unbelivably fit, you could get to their fitness in a year easy, and the action itself shouldnt take long to perfect with hard work, so what is it that makes a pro, why arent there alot more pro's around.
