bowling conceding too many runs

I played in a practice game today and was lucky enough to bowl 2 overs.

However... my bowling seemed to allow the batsmen to whack the ball quite easily.......
wat is wrong with it

Did the batsmen play exceptionally well or was it my bowling which had a problem

Re: bowling conceding too many runs

You'll have to explain your situation further, ie. was type of bowler you are, what situation you were bowling in, what type of batsmen they were (aggression-wise, batting order position) etc, then I, or some others on here may be able to assist you.

Re: bowling conceding too many runs

oh sry...
I am supposed to bowl spin left handed...but didn't do it quite well

bowled @ 26-28 over from a 30 over game and the ball was clearly quite rough.

One weakness in my belief was not being decisive enough during the split second when my hand let go of the ball.

Also my current clutch on the ball is to hold it the way a fast bowler does (i.e. 2nd and 3rd finger on either side of the seam) but somehow when it left my hand... the ball appeared to be spinning. I know that a spinner doesn't hold the ball in this way and they tend to have a grip on the ball with their whole hand wrapped around it.

Lastly I do think that the batsmen tried to read my hand action as I bowl.
He wasn't as confident but then she settled in and started to hit hard fast low balls resulting in a few 4s (although the fielders were in some way slack with stopping balls)

also... today there was a friendly game of limited overs
but afterwards they also organized a 6s game (for the ones around my age) in which I wasn't invited and i really felt a bit upsetted about it...
as I am not sure why I was not invited to play
