267 is a challenging total. India has a realistic chance to win if we get a game. Its raining now and the covers are out. The forecast is not too good either.
It looked like a familiar collapse at 90 odd for 4, but Dhoni and Gambhir certainly did a good rescue job. Its taken a long time coming but Dhoni has finally scored a fifty on this tour when India needed it the most.

This match might get washed out too. Sachin passed 16000 runs today :D and was looking good for more. But he got out in a familiar way. Dhoni played better today but he needs to do that against the best in the world. He got the runs against the Sri Lankan attack not Australian. He loves their attack. Remember he got a 183 against them too.

I think runs matter more than the opposition you get them against. This innings should at least give Dhoni some confidence. He played extremely well today and paced his innings well.

There will be another inspection in an hour. Its still raining and I can see that the water has accumulated on the covers and possibly in the outfield too. If they don't start by 8:00 PM the game will be called off.

I guess you are right but lets see how he goes in the rest of the series. Gambhir's innings was the best today. He played all around the ground but scored many runs in the V. His shot selection was good today and he paced his innings quite well. He was slow in getting his first 50 but then stepped up the pace and got the next 50 in just 28 balls.

He showed what he is capable of but he needs to do that regularly. He has been around for 4 years now but hasn't been able to cement his place in the team. His current average of 30 isn't good enough. He bats at 3 so he has the opportunity to get big scores. He has to do just that to be a regular part of the team.

SL have a really good record at Sydney. Jayasuriya in particular likes this ground. But going by recent form and reputation I would back Australia to win the match.

Comfortable win there for Australia, Bracken with a 5fer.

I really thought that SL would pose a bigger threat but obviously not.

Haven't seen the dismissal but I know a few people have whinged about it. He shouldn't have dug his bat in so much, would have stayed in his hand and he'd been judged to have made his ground.

lol he was near us eeww
but sri lanka got wiped it was pretty boring to be honest
the funny parts were the sri lankans fans getting bashed cuz they kept sayin rubbish to the aussies lol
