Cricket Balls

This one is directed at A_A, but don't let that stop anyone. Anywho, I was looking around and i saw that picture of you hloding a cricket ball, you know the one where you were showing someone a slower ball grip, when i noticed that there was stitching down the face of the ball. The balls that we use for the artificial pitches dont have that. I was wondering why. Is it cheaper not to have the stitching? Could someone please clarify it. Thanks

Re: Cricket Balls

It's just the way they are made but the ones that only made from two pieces of leather should be cheaper to buy. A standard ball is made from 4 pieces.

The ball in the the picture is a league ball which costs about £35 to buy.
