I think we had to go harder at the start of the innings. I mean easy to say when you're sitting there sinking cans, but I've always said that in one day matches wickets don't matter, you just have to keep scoring and especially at our ground, keep hitting boundaries.
Interesting you say that considering BP where something like 1/12 off 14 or 15 overs and they made 228 so i'm thinking wickets do matter but as u said easy to say sitting back watching and not playing. Why did you guys bowl first??? would like to know the thinking

I say that because I just hate looking up at a scoreboard and seeing 0/10 after 10 or 15 overs, bugs me as an opener. I have no idea why we bowled, but as I said I'm not convinced it matters much in 1 dayers.

You don't have to slog though or do anything crazy to be in a better position than 0/10 off 15 overs.

Wickets are massive in limited overs cricket, new batsman isn't going to hit the ball better or be used to conditions instantly better than the current bastman. Wickets are well proven to halt runs.

Congrats to Rosebank, better team during the finals and that's what counts. Good luck to them in Barclay Shield.

Bundoora Park the bridesmaid again, including the COVID Mash Shield final where they were saved, that's three chokes in a row. Might have something to do with their demeanour on-field (few players, not all) and their supporters off-field (Rosanna CC, did they bring their own alcohol today? Known to do it.).

Solid by Rosebank. Interesting to see a few of their supporters take the banter between one another a bit too far, seeing as one bloke grabbed his possessions and stormed out

Well done to Rosebank on a great win and well played, Good luck in Barclay and i'm sure they will hold there own BUT once again a Team winning the toss in a Final and electing to bowl.... i just don't get it...... i thought Bundy Park would of learned from the Prelim where they were sent in and posted a winning score

Well said TRM
Spot on about winning the toss and not batting, just bizarre. One Dayer/Two Dayer don't matter. It's a GF, you bat first that is all
