Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

In order to keep only draft picks in the draft thread, We can use this thread to discuss draft picks & people can post their progressive teams here.

Interesting to note that 3 batsmen have been picked up first.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

Very happy with Hussey at 2
Just wondering are we picking 11 players or a squad of something?

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

Squad of 14 mate. That way we can have 12th men & so forth.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

Wonder whats up with Bluto. Has missed his first pick & hasn't collected on his 2nd yet.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

I think I might be regretting taking McGrath instead of Kallis.

Though it is pretty cool to have both McGrath and Murali on the same team.

As for Bluto, looks like his last post is from 5 days ago.

If he misses this pick + one more, then he can be suspended from the comp. Would make the fixturing a lot easier, but we really do want you to pick !!

Mcgrath + Murali = Major Strikeforce.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

Shane Bond and Jacques Kallis are, apart from Michael Hussey, statistically the best two players in the game. Very happy so far.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

Just a throw-up to you guys. Am i allowed to select Stu Clark, As he has played the 15 ODI required but only 9 tests. Don't want to misinterpret my own rules so i'll throw it up to you guys.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

I would say yes but use a rule like:
You can select a player if they have played the required amount in one form of the game and not the other then you use their first class average -(bat)/+(bowl) 5%.

Or something like that.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

Or you can select them, but can only use them in matches where they get the required level (say if they have 15 ODI's but only 5 tests you can only use them in the ODI's)

Alright, we'll use that rule. Stu Clark you get the flick !! Will pick in the next 20 min.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

Looking for another point of clarification:

I would like to choose some players from some of the top associate nations, but they have obviously not played in any tests. I'd like to think if they have played in 10 international first class matches, that would count the same. Just let me know if you will count them as such.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

I was thinking of picking some Associate players to use in the ODI portion of the competion. It seems unfair to give them a test average.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

Yeh. Maybe not 10 percent though south. Maybe 5. But i would love associate players to be picked. I have one in mind my self. Same rules apply (15 ODI) but in the Associate equivalent of them.

Re: Fantasy Domestic League Draft Discussion

1. __________
2. __________
3. Mohammed Yousuf
4. Inzamam-ul-Haq
5.__________
6.__________
7.Shaun Pollock
8.__________
9.__________
10.__________
11. Mohammed Asif

Can anyone guess what my favorite team/players is/are :D

I think everyone has the same idea, a certain Netherlands allrounder....
