friday afternoon results?

MGS vs Carey at Carey:

With only 6 balls bowled in the day, MGS lost Louis Cameron to a nasty ankle injury, Bett was called on to opent he bowling and the show started again, taking 5 of our 8 wickets for the day, richo thomas toiled well, and charles had a 'bowl'. Chancellor batted well for a brisk 60, single-handedly holding Carey together, meg made 7 from 81 deliveries. Voyage bowled well all day as our only true pace bowler in the team and took 3-23 from 21 overs.
Carey ended up on 8-122, and the pitch is shaping up very nicely for batting tomorrow, although the outfield will work in Carey's favour.

HC vs GGS
GGS got of to a flyer at one stage 0/80 then Jarryd "WIZ" Williamson came on taking 6/22 and Marto 2/23. bowled out for 150. HC 4/80 off 10 overnight Patto 32*

Re: friday afternoon resultos?

Scotch V Brighton at scotch

brighton won the toss and batted on an absolute belter of a deck and started well the first wicket putting on 30ish. Things were balanced at tea with the score 3/80 after 32 overs. Roney batted okay scoring 38. Scotch had the better of proceedings after the tea break having brighton reeling at 6/107 but good batting from Davis (53*)saw brighton through to 7/182 overnight. Muttdon, Grose and VDB all bowled well, also, some poor running between wickets from brighton saw 3 runouts.

Re: friday afternoon resultos?

Caulfield v Wesley @ Wheelers Hill

Wesley won the toss and batted.

Wesley got off to a shocker and never really recovered and were 8 for 49 at tea. finished at all out 115

Gairns 67*

Handel 4/20 odd

Wesley then came on to bowl and Simon "Ronnie Mac" Hall took two in his first two overs and then another one in his fourth. Then when Maxim Allen got out some 'gilly' bloke it was stumps with CGS finishing at 4/13

Hall 3/1

Rich thomas bowled with great control, almost taking the catch of the season twice, but droppped them both (injuring himself the second time). Having not bowled all season (apart from training yesterday), in what was perhaps one of the most controversial decisions of the season, Shawry brought himself on 1st change due to the loss of L cameron. None for 8 off 5 - reasonable bowling display from the Van de Broek lookalike, however he seems to have picked up a lot more pace after his long summer's rest. Watch out Haileybury. Betts bowled well once again, but special mention to voya who battled hard all day, leading the pace attack with aplomb.

Re: friday afternoon resultos?

Yes, I must agree that Shaw did bowl well today, picking up the slack in the absence of the big loopy Darwinian. However, it was quite funny to see him bowl to meg, I think I caught him blushing a few times, and his bowling impressed her with good length

I was speaking to the keeper morris at MGS and he exclaimed that shawry's had lost pace and voyage was much quicker. maybe it was because he didnt want to smash megs box too hard. i dont know. but it was very sportsmanlike of shaw to trundle in (ball in left hand apparently), and until his bowling stride swap the ball from left to right and send down some gentle mediums to his lover to be.

Coast to Coast was very bored in the field and entertained himself by hurling the ball on the half volley to the keeper to injure his broken finger.

I am 100% sure about coast to coast but must keep it quiet as he is the only st kevins boy present on the forum........
if u know wat i mean, fioradud.

big louis cameron had a freak injury today and according to an old man with a marone hat should go get it checked out immediately. it meant MGS had one frontline paceman voyage, and then trotter and shaw to send down some red headed specials. Meg, despite her unbelievable solidness struggled to get the ball through the field. One must commend the carey parents for their food.
truly A+ material

Yes the man with the inner east hat on certainly can talk....

Re: friday afternoon results?

haha that was tom morris' grandad - legend of the game - not old man teej -but grandpa teej.

Eastern emus mascot right there

Big question is: will he get a gig in headmaster's XI, and have 3 generations of morris playing, or a darkhorse might be gillian??
