grand final ( formality )
keep eyes open for when GCA awards the Bulls&District combined side there points from the first 2 games and they shoot to 3rd
Geelong City best side will play in Grand Final, have several 2nds & 3rds players who have made runs & taken wickets
Torquay looked good early after winning first 4, including dangerous Thomson side which features both O'Neill kids, but then got smashed by Newcomb Combined.
Marshall - dangerous side, with a couple of 2nds bowlers in there( rd 3 reduced newcomb to 140 with D Janssen making a very nice 58 *
Newcomb - pretty reliant on 4-5 blokes, probably 2nd to city, got shown up in round 4 by Tom O'Neill who smashed 150, got out of jail with a draw after week 2 was washed out, Jason Robertson & Daniel Whitworth have taken the bulk of the wickets ( 10 & 9 ) respectively, wk batsmen Brendan Nairn has smashed his way to averaging 89.5. while Daniel Janssen's 105* keeps him well up above 150.
Thomson - should feature in finals, if they can get a full side together ( anyone interested ?? ) have varied peformances, 93 one week 321 the next,
could cause headaches for other sides, playing city after break could knock them off if Josh Tresize & Patty O'Neill can get Matty Elliot for under 50 !!
