Not sure about saturday, think it was single figures tho.
kettle and leech put on another 150odd on saturday for Oulton Park.
they're both over 600 now :)
the other 2 from Northwich both got starts but they weren't chasing many tho.
Is gav 40?looks like he is in his late 20s haha ;)

plus another 500 for leech for cheshire at least.
kettle got a ton for cheshire A didnt he?

1: The big opener from Leopold (Can hit a ball as far and as hard as anyone)
2: Big Bad Barry T (never seen him take a bag of wickets)
3: Brad H (always in the game by either bat or ball)

As a coach mate. Fastest bowler ever in the GCA by all accounts. Is it set in stone?

so, still fastest bowler in geelong??? or was??? is he past his best or still got what it takes

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

I think in terms of best player in GCA, you have to think about guys like Brad, Loftus, Talarico, and to think out of them all, who would go best at a higher level. In my opinion, the best technically is Loftus, though Talarico runs him close. At a GCA level, it is difficult to argue with Brad H's numbers, but would his technique stand up to 1st grade bowling/batting at VCA level? For me the best player is Loftus.

Yes, Loftus and Talarico do look good, but does that really matter??? By memory a bloke called Steve Waugh made over 10,000 of the ugliest runs you will ever see and he made them at the highest level. I am not saying Brad would make runs at that level or at the VCA level, but it proves being ugly and making runs or being pretty making runs doesn't mean jack shit!!!!

I wasn't talking about looking good, i was talking about having the tools/technique to be able to do it at a higher level.

i play for NDSC, and i no smiljanic, he left torquay halfway through last year got full payments and ended up playing some games in the VCA 2nds and when he couldnt be bothered travelling he spent most times drinking the barrels dry at the breakwater hotel

Re: Geelong Cricket '08/'09(gca/bpca)

As with bowling. Harps was never the cleanest or best looking bowler going around, but he has been the best strike bowler in the last 10 years of GCA divi 1 cricket.

So being not technically correct just does not matter.

Fair point! But I think Brads record counts for itself. I think he would have no problems stepping up to that level. I also think that it is shown by Geelong year in year out trying to chase him proves what talent they think he is and could be at Geelong. Lets hope for both the GCA and Sth Barwons sake he never heads down to the Cattery.

haha it is quite funny :D
i do agree with south barwon followers that brad would stand up to VCA level, but i'm very interested why he never has tried his luck in the VCA wether it be Geelong or elsewhere.

Why did Brad bat at 6 in the biggest game of his career after batting 4 all year? Would never have seen Loftus or Talarico hide.
