Good line and length and pick up wickets

hi guys i am 14 years old and i play every weekend and the last few games i have gotten a chance to bowl one over per match....every time i bowl i get hit for at least 10 runs per over.... so i was wondering what i am doing wrong..... we play on a baseball diamond so when i try to bowl a bouncer it becomes a no ball.....when i bowl good line and length i get smacked for runs....
any advice would be appreciated thank you.

Re: Good line and length and pick up wickets

When you are bowling line and length, where do you get hit? Maybe it can show you if you need to adjust something. Line is easy enough to understand - basically try to consistently land the ball so that it is hitting off stump or just missing it. But length is a bit more variable. A good length changes depending on the surface you play on, the batsman that's facing, how much bounce you get, and a load of other things. But if you're finding that a ball on a good line is getting hit to the boundary on the leg side - it's probably too short. And if it is being driven too easily, it's probably too full.

What usually happens off your over?

they usually score 1 four and most of the runs they score are int straight and the leg side.
