Graynicolls Evo 500 prep

Hi all

My wife just bought me a Graynicolls Evo 500 for upcoming fathers day (what a legend wife)

Do i prepare this like a normal bat oil light 2 coats then knock in then extratech it or does this bat not need extratech it seems like not bare wood but treated with something??
Or should i just take back to shop and have them tell me what to do usually they just sell not know how to look after from Rebel sports
I just getting back into cricket after awhile not playing and bats have gone insane different from the old Symonds and DF bats

Ash

Do you have a photo of the bat? It may well be natural, in which case you'll need to oil. However, if it has a cover then only oil the back of the bat. However, if the bat is natural and you want a cover (anti-scuff etc) put on then it's best not to oil, otherwise the cover won't stick.
