Great Expectations

I have little doubt that in the next few weeks we shall be hearing the old warcry from you Engerlanders,we are ready for the Aussies now,we have got our "secret weapon" Broad ready for the next tests in 2009,...then,no doubt the wheels will fall of as per usual, and you will most likely end up with another 5-0 whitewash, and egg all over your faces <s><img><s>

the times we have heard this phrase, yet, very optimistically, you still come out with it just before every test series, strangely enough, you didn't make too much of a song &dance of it prior to the 2005 series, which, reading the scorecards, credits England with a 2-1 victory, but I understand that Billy Bowden has said since that controversial caught behind of Kasper off Harmison,he realised he had made a wrong decision.

Bad decisions happen. However, I have to admit that there were far more incorrect decisions against Australia in that series than England, although I would put this down to coincedence.

With regards to Broad, it's great that we have confidence in him to perform well in a couple of years time. What we musn't do is put the pressure on him now, allow him to develop, acclimatise to the rigours of Test Cricket and soon he should be a good bowler and hopefully a decent number 7/8

Like I said Hopey, the scorecards say England won,BUT,....thousands of people who saw kasper out???....know who REALLY won.....Ask Billy Bowden!!!

As I said, bad decisions happen. I'm sure it wasn't the first incorrect decision in that Test so just because it was the closest to the end does not make it the definitive one!

Australia won't be able to beat England in England, because they couldn't with all their legends in 2005, so without them, and another ageing team...3-1 England.

Englands batsman will be coming into their prime, the bowlers are young..

Well Sreesanth was out wasn't he, if Kasper wasn't.
And Englands batsman will be in their prime by the time Australia come back, thats the point, against India we also had a 2nd string bowling attack.

Honestly, Tremlett, Sidebottom, Anderson, that isn't out 1st string attack, we're missing our best bowler, our highest ranked bowler and a 7-12 bowler.
