Groin injury/strain - strengthening exercises?

Groin injury/strain - strengthening exercises?

Hello all,

I have put on some weight lately - havnt exercised much in the last couple of years and recently managed to pull my groin muscle (exercising - Maybe after that- before that- not sure). Start of season and nothing worse could have happpened :eek:


Never had this sort of thing happen before so not sure about the do's and dont's. How long does this sort of thing take to heal?? One thing I am sure of - Its painful.

Went to doctor who wants me to rest and given some pain killers- one of those strong drowsy ones!

Not doing anything for now but later on want to strengthen and stretch related muscles.

Can someone suggest some exercises and stretches etc?

Recovery time depends on the grade of injury and muscles injured.

How long ago did this happen?
Can you try to remember what you were doing when this happened?
If you do not know the names of the muscles concerned, can you try to be more specific where the pain is.
