Haileybury House Cricket

Without doubt the most fasinating tournament of cricket on the planet

It is time once agan for the House Cricket Season and already with the first four games being played.

I would like to throw out the question from the four teams which have won which as the best chance of winning the tournament

Aikman
Bradshaw
Sholto Black
Dickinson

There is no doubt that after knocking off pre tournament favourites Newlands, Aikman will have to go into the semi final stage as favourites

Re: Haileybury House Cricket

Sholto looking like hot favourites especially with stars such as Jarryd "CHIEF" Williamson, and Thanu "Hung Like a Horse" Ravindran, as well as Nick "Small Fry" Leonadis.

Aikman also contenders with Hayden Joseph (Bill Skelton's Mate), who dropped a pearler(read sitter) at backwards point.

Berthon looking good with Michael "Tooty Frooty Booty" Botti lookin in godo touch as a drinks runner. All Berthon players were well refreshed.

Look YanYan
Although all these houses look very nice on paper, only one has proven results
Dickinson

Many teams struggle with lack of depth for example Castlefield which fielded a team mainly of Year 10s and Newlands who without the leadership of Coleman failed to make inroads with the bat or ball

Dickinson of course, although missing their best player Jordan Toy due to unfortunate mishap of being dropped for the young upcoming Alistar Bray still looked strong in a match that captain Scott Wood told the team to take it easy and look forward to next game.

If you ask me, once you add the amazing batting of young Jordan Toy the team will be unstopable.

Re: Haileybury House Cricket

sorry boys this is forum is for real cricket not house cricket
although very enjoyable

Re: Haileybury House Cricket

Aikman is the favorites with good reason. Beating arguable the best and the most rounded team in Pargetta, The purple haze showed and displayed an essence of dominance, only losing two wickets and winning by 50 runs.

Pagetta House looked good on paper but on the day were a bunch of pretenders. If Jackson Coleman had played, the score line may have been different.

The Purple Haze's only challenge is the rivals in Shalto. Aikman will be looking to the sledging techniques of Hayden Joesph, who plays a vital role in the mental game of Cricket.

Surely no-one at Haileybury takes Hayden seriously.
