How do I know what is the correct helmet size for me?

How do I know what is the correct helmet size for me?

I would like to order a helmet online and I would like to know how I can be sure about the size of the helmet. I know it's always easier to get one from a cricket shop, but living in Switzerland, that possibility is more than highly unlikely. How do I know whether I order a small size or a medium, etc?

well every manufacturer will have a size guide, mostly in CM over here. you will need to meaure your head!

ideally allow for a tiny bit of movent as you dont want it to be to tight, and you can alwaya adjust with pads.

obvioulsy you wont know what vision will be like without trying them on though.

These days most helmets come as either small to large or large to xxxlarge.

At your age you should be fine with the small to large sizing. As stumped says, they are normally adjusted by adding small bits of foam.

This may be of help, the size in cm is the circumference of the head:

Small Boys - 51-52cm

Boys - 53-54cm

Youths - 54-56cm

Small Mens - 56-58cm

Mens - 58-60cm

Large Mens - 60-62cm

To measure, run a tape measure around the middle of the forehead, just above the eyebrows, around the side - just above the ears to the ‘bump’ on the back of the head.
