Today no matter what side I had the rough side on, it was swinging miles out, and I had a lot of trouble swinging it in, any tips?

Re: In Swing

try being a little more front on, or have a higher point of release which is closer to the head

I think that you have to have the rough side facing away from you when bowling in swingers.

Re: In Swing

I had that problem aswell but the other way around, all i could bowl was hooping inswingers and nothing else

it all depends on your arm and wrist position, a nice high arm close to your ear with a nice wrist position will help alot with bowling inswingers

whereas outswingers are for lazy bowlers:p who dont feel like extending there arm fully up

good luck anyway

Re: In Swing

I'm a specialist inswing bowler, hold the seam normally and have your forearm to the left your eyes. I'm having the opposite problem, i can't bowl outswing for shit

SSS

try lowering your bowling arm, not too low that it will affect your direction, but just not as high as an inswinger

Took me a while but i perfected that and now basicly bowl my inswingers and outswingers from the same arm position

Re: In Swing

As a bit of a "quick fix" while you're sorting out your inswinger, maybe you could bowl a ball cross-seam to make sure it goes straight. So bowl a couple of outswingers until the batsman is playing for the swing - then the cross-seam ball with the same action which should go straight and hopefully bowl him or take an inside edge onto the stumps.

Cheers Edladd thanks for your advice.

As for an update people:

Seniors:
Batted at no.5, ground my way to 11 and got caught off a decent cut shot.
Bowled, and took 3/15ish (Results havn't been put up so I don't know exactly what it was, also took a freak caught and bowled catch) with two catches dropped off me, and a chopped on which nearly hit the stumps, also a couple of 50/50 Lbw decisions, but I bowled really well. But we lost on my over when I was bowling.

Juniors:
DNB
Bowling:
2/6ish of 4.5 overs, bowled really well, couple of played and misses, with also a couple that beat the batsman but just went over the stumps, also four of the runs off me were a misfield. We also lost on my over as we were on a draw when I started my fifth over.

Overall:
Bad weekend for my teams, but it was good to see that I have improved a heap over the off season, and produced probably my two best bowling performances back to back, lets just hope I can back it up in Juniors next week (seniors have a bye), and I make some runs :)
