Yeh thanks guys, but the thing is, when you're there, you don't treat it as a normal match. You can't, you can't ignore it, there's way more people, there's no match after it. So yeh, i think I'll be fine bowling, I opened the bowling in the semi, bowled at the death too, and I was fine, thrived on the cheers after my over was done, but batting is a different story. It better be at a ground I like, I hate our home ground to bat on, so yeh, but meh we'll be fine, thanks.
It's tomorrow, woot. Had a good 3 hour practice with half the team (we all have the same personal coaches). It was great, my back hurt at the start but I was probably trying too hard and concentrating on my back which probably made me more aware, once we got into a game type of thing it was fine because I wasn't concentrating on it. We bowled 100 balls with just 3 down the leg side (none by me ). Much to the disappointment of the batsman who could hardly bget anything away because we were giving him nothing.
There seems a real good vibe, especially with the blokes I saw today. It'll be hard to match the energy and vibe we created in the second half on the semi tomorrow because it will be so hot, but I'll be trying my hardest to pump the boys up.
It's gonna be in the high 30's tomorrow, 9 o clock start, so the team bowling first will have the advantage in terms of ideal fielding conditions, but I think our team, like most, performs better batting first, and if you bowl 50 first, you then have to bat, and you are probably gonna be pretty tired, plus the heat, so I think I'd prefer to bat first, but it will be a tough one to decide, I think our team will try to bowl first, but I don't mind.
Thanks we have the 4 senior teams in finals and 3 other junior teams in finals so if we win there will be a massive celebration back at the clubrooms of our seniors home ground, so will be awesome if we win. So yeh thanks, I'll just make the most of it, that's all I can do.
Pretty much so, you just have to try to enjoy it for what it is. If you lose then you lose but attempt to take something from the game so that next time you're better prepared.
Yeh, I reckon, parents, grand parents, uncles, aunties but I hope not as many people turn up because of the heat
6 and a half hours in 36 degree heat, and we start at 9 so early on there won't be too many there that early hopefully. But I guess I don't mind, all the more to see how god of a bowler I am ahahahhahaha jk.
We lost by 4 wickets, and I had heatstroke or something I "looked like I was gonna collapse" apperently. Bowl 1/10 off 7 or something, had a plumb LBW turned down, a edge dropped (it was their captain, he is the biggest sledger, i wanted to get him out so much, we were sledging him, just him back because he is an idiot, and I heard him say "I'm gonna get them back for sledging me". Next over the other bowler got him out, I laughed directly at him, hope he heard me.) So yeh I bowled really well I think, I'm really happy, 5 overs with my back hurting and 2 overs feeling really really sick.
The team was great though, the captain was bowling, just after he took a wicket when they had 2 runs to win, and he's like "do you just want me to lob it up so you can get off" I said no but yeh that was really nice of him.
