Indian Captiancy In the Future

Who do you guys think has the right aura and the temperment for future Indian Cricket Captiancy?

I would think Irfan Pathan, because he can yell at his players and keep them on track, but Dhoni would also be an excellent choice.

What are your guys's views?

Kaif, if he improves his consistency, may also stand a chance, as he did lead a side to a World Cup (didn't he?). But it's probably going to be Sehwag when Dravid retires.

I dont want Sehwag...Kaif or Yuvraj are better equipped to do the job..

An allroundr should never captain India! Its a tough call on tat person - captaining,batting,bowling,fielding,etc....

Irfan shouldnt captain India at all. Dhoni,well he also might never captain because we have Yuvraj and Kaif who are equipped to do it. Normally, a batsman makes a good captain!

If Sehwag is an all-rounder, Yuvraj is also an all-rounder. Ideally, I would choose Kaif because he's got the experience and he would be leading from the front in terms of fielding. Sehwag--I think you gotta allow him to cut loose on the opposition rather than take responsibility of the batting. But Kaif needs to get into the team on a consistent basis before he is handed that capacity. By all counts, it seems that the selectors have Sehwag in mind post-Dravid.

Agreed, Sehwag is pretty old too, but I think Kaif is capable of being the captain. He did lead the Indian U-19 team to the WC victory, when he was the captain.

Also Sehwag has more chances of failure with his batting especially with his style of batting. His natural game is to attack and attack doesnt always fetch you success in a consistent fashion. Sehwag can go through his bad patches more often that say Kaif or even Yuvraj. Your captain has to perform consistently to be able to inspire his team! When Ganguly went through a bad patch, he failed to inspire his team and the team's performance went down

So I go for Kaif in the ODI's and Yuvraj in the tests!

failing chances doesnt mean anything...kaif has performed with the bat ethier, he has failed also...kaif is not the captiancy material...not thats hes bad...yuvi is already the vice capt...remember one indopak recently dravid was injuryed had to go off there was no sehwag, yvui was made the capt for that time, he did a pretty good job so yuvi is pretty good
