Below are the teams participating, and some info on each...

Down Under Bakery
Down Under Bakery (DUB) Pies, established 2003, is proud to be the first specialty bakery to bring the authentic New Zealand-Australian experience — the culturally iconic meat pie — to New York City.
Our flagship location is nestled into a newly bustling block in one of NYC's hottest new neighbourhoods (Cobble Hill, Red Hook or Columbia Waterfront - depending on who you ask).

Come check us out for • Exceptional service!! • Our pies, available HOT — or COLD — to reheat at your leisure and for your pleasure. • Superb coffee – including a sensational Antipodean-style flat-white! • Great Desserts - inc. Lamingtons • monthly special pie! • Free Wi-Fi • Manhattan View• South Pacific flavour tattoo art on the walls • Local Hot Food Delivery (download menu)

We're just a stone's throw from the Queen Mary II berth & a short distance from the planned Brooklyn IKEA and Red Hook Fairway and so much more!"

Eight Mile Creek
Eight Mile Creek, located in the heart of the NoLita district of downtown Manhattan, is our attempt to bring a small part of the Aussie dining and drinking experience to New York City.
Upstairs, in our New York Times-rated 2 star restaurant, the emphasis is on food that showcases modern Australian cuisine, a cooking movement that is revolutionizing the dining scene back home. And if you’re talking food, the talk inevitably moves to wine, and we take wine very seriously at Eight Mile Creek. Downstairs in the creek bar, the relaxed atmosphere of a local Aussie pub is the goal with cold Aussie beer-a-plenty, footy and cricket on the TV’s, and a more casual Bistro menu available. And what is an Aussie restaurant without a place to eat and drink in the great outdoors? With the opening of our new OuT-the-bAcK garden in June 2003, located out-the-back of our premises on Mulberry Street, true alfresco dining has come to Eight Mile Creek, no mean feat in congested New York City!

Sheep Station
From the NY Times- "Sheep Station, a pub with a menu and a beer selection that look to Australia for inspiration, opened on the corner of Fourth Avenue and Douglass Street, signaling that the avenue may be the next frontier for gentrification in the greater Park Slope area.

I wasn’t so sure. The place’s meat pies — those distinctly Australian savory pastries ($6), stuffed with a fatty mix of minced beef and onions, moistened with stock — were the best I’d ever had."

Sunburnt Cow & Bondi Road
Sunburnt Cow- from AOL Cityguide "you better take your Australian food seriously or else it's "g'day mate." Which isn't to say that Down-Under-style eating isn't fun. The chairs, whittled from hunks of burnt wood, are sublime, and the overall outback look is perfect for a location adjacent to La Plaza Cultural, the community garden smack-dab in the middle of Avenue C. The food also mixes the esoteric and exotic: like a pepper berry-rubbed shrimp appetizer abetted by jalapeno and scallion corn salsa; and a barramundi filet with baby fennel, pineapple, fingerling potatoes and capers in a lemon brown butter. Late night and breakfast menus are expertly molded for the round-the-clock East Village scene, although some marsupial lovers may rue the Roo in the bangers and smash. Finally, the retractable backyard roof is a smart salute to the Southern Hemisphere, making this a cow you'll want to milk." -- Leonard Jacobs
The Bondi Road Menu is based on the simple fish & chips shops you find dooted along Bondi Road, which takes you to one of the greatest beaches in the world Bondi Beach, located in Sydney, Australia.
Choose to have your fish classic battered or beer battered, breaded, pan sauted or grilled. Then its on to the next display case- the sides. Here you will find the freshest of salads, coleslaw, and potato salad. The display case is the raw bar- oysters, shrimp, lobster, crab & mussels.

btw, one of the earlier ones is one just after you claimed a wicket.

Re: Indoor Cricket Cup- G'day USA 2007

I saw a few from my matches, but nothing that looked like a wicket celebration :)
Still, glad you caught me in some of the action. Please keep me in mind when setting things up this summer. I've got a bunch of friends who'd love to get to something informal.
