IPL Game 13 - Kings XI Punjab vs Delhi Daredevils at PCA Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh

Game 13 of the IPL is well underway with the Kings XI Punjab hosting the Delhi Daredevils.

Delhi won the toss and decided to bat first. So far they are up to 6/128 after 17 overs. Punjab have bowled well so far, the standouts have been Irfan Pathan and VRV Singh who both have two wickets.

Tiwary has top score for Delhi at the moment with 31 not out and Dinesh Karthik made 24, the only other major contribution.

VRV Singh gets Tiwary for 39 but the runs are flowing.

Good last over from Pathan sees Delhi finish on 8/158. Maharoof is run out on the last ball of the over for 18 attempting a second run but Jayawardene's throw was too good and Maharoof was short of his ground.

A modest total set by the Daredevils here, they will have to bowl well to stop the Kings XI from winning here.

McGrath strikes early and gets rid of Goel for one. And Mohammad Asif strikes with his last ball of his first over too, dangerman Sangakkara is gone, both men out courtesy of Dinesh Karthik's glovework.

Shoaib Malik takes a sharp catch of his own bowling to remove Jayawardene for 15.

3/70 after eight overs, Simon Katich holds the key at this point, 49 not out off 29 so far.

Katich run out for 75. The Kat goes for a non-existant single and is run out by Sehwag with Malik whipping off the bails.

Well, Pathan falls with only four runs required, they still have two overs to get them though. That was Mohammad Asif's second wicket for the game and Karthik's 3rd catch.

Took them longer than expected but Punjab have their second win. Yuvraj sweeps Malik's 3rd ball of the last over for four to ensure a four wicket victory with the score 6/162.

An important win for Punjab, they are back to 2 and 2 now, 1-3 could have seen them in a big hole. Delhi have suffered their first loss of the tournament and are now two wins and one loss. They didn't score enough runs in the end, early wickets cost them and none of the middle order players went on to score anything big which was what they desperately needed. Another 20 runs would have most likely secured them victory.

Katich was the mainstay of the innings with 75 off 52 balls, Yuvraj Singh secured the win with 40 not out from only 29 balls. Mahesh was the Daredevils best bowler, taking a couple of wickets.

Good win to the Punjab side, they will be happy with that effort.
