One change for the Chargers with Nuwan Zoysa in for Chaminda Vaas. Ronchi out.

Damn it, when will he show the international audience what he can really do!!

RP Singh bowls a wide, short delivery, Ronchi tries to blast it through point but only gives Laxman at first slip an easy catch.

1/15 in the 3rd over.

Rahane out not long after, Bangar gets his first wicket for the game.

2/18 after 4 overs. Jayasuriya is 3 off 8 with Uthappa the new batsman.

Uthappa gone too!! The bowling change works with Shahid Afridi coming on, Uthappa tries to cut the ball but it brushes his front pad and he is given out caught behind with Gilchrist taking the catch. Unsure if the players were appealing for LBW or caught behind but it is our neverthless.

3/27 after six overs, Mumbai struggling at the moment.

Afridi gets Jayasuriya for 18 with his googly, Sanath was caught at backwards square leg after trying to play the ball in front of square on the leg-side.

4/60 in the 12th over, slow going for Mumbai, they can't seem to score quickly.

Pollock and Nayar gone after entertaining innings. Up to Dwayne Bravo now to get Mumbai up to a competitive total.

6/135 after 18 overs. Bravo 24 from only 12 balls, a strike rate of 200.

Mumbai end up 7/154 from their 20 overs. Bravo was dimissed from the last ball of the innings for 34. They'll be reasonably happy with that after being in big trouble early on, they scored 83 from the last seven overs, so they are capable of scoring big when needed.

Another modest total on the board here, in the earlier game it wasn't enough so we'll see how competitive it is on this pitch.

Gilchrist single handedly destroying Mumbai here, he's just clobbered Shaun Pollock for 27 runs off one over, Deccan are 0/83 after just seven overs with Gilchrist on 69 from just 31 balls. Gilly has 8 fours and 5 sixes so far, something which would be very special to watch. If only Deccan were batting first, the way he is batting, he might have got something very big.

Re: IPL Game 14 - Mumbai Indians vs Deccan Chargers at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mu

Gilchrist going absolutely ballistic. He reaches his 100 from just 42 balls with 9 fours and 9 sixes. This time Nayar is the victim, his first over goes for 22 runs, 19 of them from Gilchrist's bat.

Oh yes, if you didn't know, Laxman is the other batsman, not that any would notice with Gilchrist launching Deccan's new space program. VVS is 22 not out off 18, too busy watching Gilly to even bother scoring anything.

0/130 after only 10 overs. Geez, I wish Deccan were batting first, this could have been something really special.

A very easy win to the Deccan Chargers, they are finally on the board with a crushing victory over Mumbai.

Adam Gilchrist remained not out on 109, an innings which used only 48 deliveries and included 9 fours and 10 sixes. It was something that was truly amazing, similar to the great hundreds we have already seen in this tournament. If only Deccan had batted first, Gilchrist may have gone on to make a massive total for himself and also for his team, and that would have been worth watching.

VVS Laxman played second fiddle to the Gilchrist airshow, accumulating 36 runs of his own from 29 balls and hit 5 fours of his own. Deccan faced 12.4 overs to score 0/155, winning by a massive 10 wickets and 44 balls to spare.

So, that was the most one-sided game of the tournament so far in terms of the team batting second winning, the ten wicket win eclipses the nine wicket wins we have seen earlier in the series. Deccan have their first win on the board and will get a nice NRR boost after winning quite easily. Mumbai meanwhile slip to 0 and 4, their chances of making the finals are starting to get smaller, they will need to win a string of games to get back on track to make the top four.

The Man of the Match award was no contest, that title went to Adam Gilchrist.
