IPL Game 15 - Bangalore Royal Challengers vs Chennai Super Kings at Bangalore

Game 15 is halfway complete with Bangalore hosting Chennai.

Chennai won the toss and chose to bat first. A late flurry of runs from MS Dhoni and Michael Hussey took the Super Kings to 5/178, a pretty competitive total. Dhoni top scored with 65 from only 30 balls, his whirlwind knock included taking Dale Steyn for 24 runs off one over. Hussey too put the Bangalore bowlers to the sword, smashing 47 off 37 deliveries. Suresh Raina chipped in with 28 from 17.

The Bangalore bowlers did well early, openers Matthew Hayden and Parthiv Patel failed to get off to a blistering start but Dhoni, Hussey and Raina made sure their figures wouldn't be too flattering. Zaheer Khan took 3/38, the most effective bowler with Praveen Kumar the only other bowler to take a wicket with Raina being run out.

A good total on the board, will be interesting to see what Bangalore can come up with here.

However, it's brought Ross Taylor to the crease who is doing some early damage with the bat.

Bangalore lose their second wicket. Wasim Jaffer is caught trying to bash down the ground.

2/119 now after 13 overs, Chennai can't seem to stop the runs. Taylor on 43 and new batsman Jacques Kallis is 13 not out from eight balls.

Amarnath gets wicket number two, this time it's the big wicket of Ross Taylor who was batting well until now. Taylor plays a deft chip outside off stump but only finds Rania at cover.

Bangalore quickly folded after Taylor's wicket with Boucher, Kohli and the rest following in brisk succession.

Bangalore were bowled out for 165 from 19.4 overs, falling short by 13 runs. Taylor's effort of 53 earlier in the innings saw him get top score with Jaffer making exactly 50.

Gony took three wickets for the Super Kings, Joginer Sharma and Armanath snared two and Albie Morkel got his first wicket for the tournament. There were also two run outs.

Chennai still undefeated, they really bowled themselves to victory there as Bangalore were in the box seat at one point. They will also be thankful for some late hitting from Dhoni and Hussey as they got got their score out of reach for the Royal Challengers.

MS Dhoni was Man of the Match.
