IPL Game 23 - Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils at Mumbai

Game 23 of the IPL is in progress with Mumbai hosting Delhi at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy.

Delhi won the toss and bowled first. They've kept Mumbai to 6/123 so far, Jayasuriya has top score with 34 and Dominic Thornely scored 31.

Mumbai finish on 8/162, not a bad score but one that is very gettable. Shaun Pollock's late flurry was the main reason they reached that total, Pollock scored 33 from just 15 deliveries.

Yo Mahesh took three wickets with Mohammad Asif, Sangwan, Bhatia, Sehwag and Shoaib Malik all getting one wicket apiece.

Should be a very good chase, Delhi's batters have been in great form so far, so we could see some fast scoring here.

Nehra strikes!! Gambhir creams one but hits it straight to Uthappa at cover.

Oh and now Pollock has one, Dhawan gone for one also in exactly the same fashion. Dhawan tries to loft the ball but finds Uthappa at cover.

Delhi are 3/73, de Villiers was run out in the most unfortunate of circumstances, Virender Sehwag played a cracking drive but the ball hit Kulkarni's fingers and the ball deflected onto the stumps with de Villiers well short.

Sehwag 34 not out and Shoaib Malik 17 not out at this stage. Still evenly poised.

Great bowling change from Mumbai, Dom Thornely gets a wicket with his second ball, Sehwag hits a low full toss across the line to the waiting hands of Shaun Pollock.

Sehwag gone for 40 off 20 and Delhi are 4/83 in the 11th over.

Nehra gets a catch now, Mohammad Asif is out first ball after getting a top edge to third man off an attempted pull.

McGrath only lasts two balls as he is caught trying to hit the ball over the infield which sees Delhi all out for 133.

A good win to Mumbai, they now have two victories and have done well to overcome the ladder leading Delhi Daredevils.

Sehwag scored 40, Karthik 28 and Shoaib Mailk but there was no real big score from the batsmen which was what Delhi needed.

Ashish Nehra took 3/25 off four overs, Pollock was economical with 2/16 from four and Kulkarni also got two wickets. Thornely and Bravo took the final two wickets and there was the unlucky run out of AB de Villiers.

A 29 run win to Mumbai which will take them off the bottom of the ladder. Delhi will go back to the drawing board, they blew a big chance to consolidate their position on top of the ladder.
