Mumbai Indians XI : +YV Takawale, ST Jayasuriya, DJ Thornely, RV Uthappa, DJ Bravo, AM Nayar, *SM Pollock, SS Tiwary, RR Raje, A Nehra, DS Kulkarni

Rajasthan Royals XI : GC Smith, SA Asnodkar, YK Pathan, SR Watson, M Kaif, RA Jadeja, *SK Warne, +M Rawat, Sohail Tanvir, SK Trivedi, MM Patel

Rajasthan have been on fire of late, five wins a row and looking for their sixth consecutive victory here. Mumbai had a good win in their last game but will need a few more to stay in touch with the top four teams. Expecting a good contest here, game is not too far away from starting.

Mumbai has won the toss and they will bowl first.

Re: IPL Game 27 - Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai

Graeme Smith walks at a Shaun Pollock delivery but is stumped after completely missing it. Takawale, the keeper, was at the stumps dropped the ball initially but picked it up and whipped the bails off. Smith didn't even attempt to get back into his crease.

1/21 from 3 overs.

Now Yusuf Pathan is out. Pathan tries to play a big slog across the line but Nehra's delivery hits middle stump. Two soft dimissals within an over of each other.

2/21 after 3.1 overs.

Re: IPL Game 27 - Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai

Bravo bowls Shane Watson after an across the line slog goes onto his stumps.

3/73 in the 9th over.

Re: IPL Game 27 - Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai

Kaif and Jadeja go in quick succession, Jadeja is out for a first ball duck to Kulkarni.

And Jayasuriya dropped Asnodkar the ball before Mohammad Kaif was dismissed,

5/83 for Rajasthan and they are looky shaky at the moment.

Re: IPL Game 27 - Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai

Warne's pull shot goes awry and he is caught by Takawale giving Kulkarni his second wicket.

6/94 in the 14th over. Rajasthan in real trouble although the pitch is not batsman friendly.

Re: IPL Game 27 - Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai

Asnodkar out now, things going really badly for the Royals, it'll be up to the bowlers to get the rest of the runs from here.

7/95 from 14.1 overs.

Re: IPL Game 27 - Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai

You miss and I'll hit stuff from Ashish Nehra. Sohail Tanvir goes for a massive slog and Nehra makes a mess of the furniture.

8/102, Rajasthan might struggle to reach 120 here.

Re: IPL Game 27 - Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai

All going horribly wrong for the Royals, Rawat the keeper is outdone by a Nenhra bouncer giving Yogesh Takawale his fourth catch to go with his earlier stumping.

9/103. They might not even get 105!!

Munaf Patel's in now, this is his first bat in seven Twenty20 games.

Re: IPL Game 27 - Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai

Well, that didn't last long. Trivedi is bowled by a Dwayne Bravo slower ball and Rajasthan are all out for 103.

Swapnil Asodkar made top score with 39 and Shane Watson scored 32 but that was all she wrote for the Royals as none of the other batsmen made more than seven runs.

The bowling was pretty good all round. Nehra lead the way with three wickets while Bravo, Kulkarni and Raje all took two scalps. Captain, Shaun Pollock picked up one wicket.

A disappointing batting effort from the Royals there, only two batters really contributed and had it not been for the, they could have been looking at a really, really low total. They will find it hard to defend that score but anything is possible. Meanwhile, Mumbai will be very happy with that performance and if they can get the runs relatively quickly, they'll gain some much needed NRR.

Re: IPL Game 27 - Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals at Mumbai

Mumbai cruised to victory, taking 15.1 overs to knock up 3/104. Robin Uthappa top scored with 34 not out and Takawale made 27.

For the Royals, Shane Watson snared two wickets and Shane Warne took one.

Too easy for Mumbai, their bowling was superb while Rajasthan will rue some questionable shots from the top order.

Ashish Nehra was Man of the Match.
