IPL teams could head to Canada

The popularity of Twenty20 cricket has spread to Canada, including a chance that Indian Premier League teams could visit the country following "advanced" discussions, Cricket Canada has confirmed to Cricinfo.

"Atul Ahuja, Cricket Canada's chief executive, had discussions with leading individuals in respect to possible visits to Canada by IPL teams," a CC spokesperson said. "In some cases, those discussion were quite advanced, but at the moment there are no promises and no confirmations."

This could be great for Canadian Cricket if it goes ahead, but will it? Do you guys see a future in playing IPL matches in associate countries??

It would be great for cricket if it can become popular in Canada. I think it would depend upon the franchise if they want to tour Canada and that decision would depend upon how much money they can make.
