3 to equal, 4 to hold it outright.

Is there a sense of anticipation from England fans here? In amidst all the misery surrounding English cricket, this surely would be an exciting moment?

I imagine it would be. I'm not a English fan myself but it is a great achievement and one that Anderson can be proud of now that he does hold the record after going past Botham in the first test against West Indies.

Given England play 16 tests over the next 10 months, Anderson could be 50-60 or more wickets in front of Botham once that period has finished. And career wise he'll probably be even more so in front once he eventually retires.

Nothing to do with the topic. But found out Craig Keiswetter has prematurely retired due to an eye injury. Poor ****, that's nasty.
