Re: Kitply Cup One Day Series

Pakistan were bowled out for 233 in the final over, Salman Butt top scored with 70, Mohammad Yousuf made 59 and Misbah-ul-Haq made 39 from only 22 balls.

Abdur Razzak bowled well taking 3/35 and Alok Kapali took 3/49 but was expensive. Mashrafe Mortaza also chipped in with two wickets of his own.

Hopefully this will be a good chase, Bangladesh have a habit of making it contest or falling in a heap, too many times they have done the latter. Maybe the extended break has done them some good.

India 0/126 off 17

And he makes 3 off 12 balls on debut

India 3/199 running at 7 runs an over

Sehwag 89 and Gambhir got 62

Very young side the Indians have thrown out which is great a new breed to watch. Exciting times ahead for world cricket

Re: Kitply Cup One Day Series

Afridi took 2/52 off his 10, great spin bowling considering how fast India have been scoring all match.

India now 4/251 in the 40th over. Yuvraj 53* and Dhoni 8*. Could be a chase well over 300 here for Pakistan.

Re: Kitply Cup One Day Series

Yuvraj was out for 55, the first of three wickets for Umar Gul. Dhoni, Raina and Irfan Pathan kept the run rate going, with each batter having a strike rate of 100 or better. It helped India reach a score of a 8/330, Umar Gul was Pakistan's best bowler with 3/61, Afridi stayed on 2/52 and Wahab Riaz also took two wickets but conceded 86 runs from 9.2 overs in the process.

In reply, Pakistan are in an early hole at 3/75, Praveen Kumar has all three wickets so far and was on a hattrick at one point after dismissing Salman Butt for nine and then Younis Kahn next ball for a first ball duck. Mohammad Yousuf was then out LBW for 11.

Kamran Akmal has done the bulk of the scoring with 32 not out but Misbah-ul-Haq is catching him with 21 from as many deliveries.

Plenty of work to do for Pakistan, these two really need to stay together and keep the runs flowing, the run rate is already going well at 6.25, they just need to keep it up.

Re: Kitply Cup One Day Series

Spoke too soon. Kamran Akmal hits a full toss from Praveen Kumar straight to Yusuf Pathan at mid-off.

4/82, that's Kumar's 4th wicket.

Re: Kitply Cup One Day Series

India 8/330
Sehwag 89 off 76
Gambhir 62 off 62
Yuvraj Singh 55 off 54

Gul 3/61 off 10
Afridi 2/52 off 10
Riaz 2/86 off 9.2

Pakistan 190
Malik 53 off 67
Akmal 38 off 35
ul-Haq 24 off 28

Chawla 4/40 off 8.4
Kumar 4/53 off 9
Sharma 1/28 off 6

India won by 140 Runs

Man of the Match: Virender Sehwag

The next match is India v Bangladesh on Thursday

Re: Kitply Cup One Day Series

Bangladesh finished with 222 off 49.5 overs. Raqibul Hasan was top scorer with 89 off 117. Overall a typical Bangladeshi performance.

For the Indians RP Singh got 3, Irfan Pathan got two and Kumar, Chawla and Y. Pathan each got one.

For Bangladesh to qualify for the final they must bowl India out for 4 runs. Interesting game this one

Re: Kitply Cup One Day Series

India chased the runs down with 14.5 overs to spare. Guatam Gambhir got an unbeaten hundred with Sehwag chipping in with a quick 50. Abdur Razzak was the best of the bowlers with 1/48 off his 10 overs.

The final will be played on Saturday Night between Pakistan and India.

Re: Kitply Cup One Day Series

Nice to see Bangladesh are still a joke. Pathetic excuse for an international cricket team.

Re: Kitply Cup One Day Series

Pakistan smashed their way to 3/315 from their 50 overs. Salman Butt was the star, making 129 before retiring hurt in the 46th over after cramping up badly, most likely due to the heat. Butt had great support in Younis Khan, Younis struck a century also before falling to Ishant Sharma for 108. Misbah-ul-Haq chimed in with a cameo of 33 not out from 21 balls.

Irfan Pathan was the only other wicket-taker, he took 2/59 off his full ten overs. Praveen Kumar continue to bowl well as the opening, conceding only 37 from his full allotment of overs. On the other hand, Piyush Chawla had a shocker, giving away 87 runs also from ten over bowled.

In reply, India are 4/165 after 26.1 overs. Yuvraj Singh has 41 not out and India's top score at this point. Gautam Gambhir scored 40 opening the innings.

Umar Gul did the early damage with two wickest but was expensive in the process, leaking 38 runs from only five overs. Sohail Tanvir and Rao Iftikhar Anjum have one wicket each.

Re: Kitply Cup One Day Series

Oh dear, Fawad Alam bowls a full toss outside leg which Suresh Raina sweeps but top edges to Afridi at deep square where he takes the catch.

Raina is out for 24 and the score is 5/179 from 29 overs, Yuvraj up to 53 from 50 balls.

Re: Kitply Cup One Day Series

Shahid Afridi got Yvraj a few minutes ago, Yuvraj tried to pull a skidding delivery from Afridi but got a thin bottom edge and Akmal took a good catch bhind the stumps.

Two overs has elapsed since then and it's brought 11 runs.

India 6/197 now, Dhoni and Irfan Pathan at the crase on 7 and 3 respectively. They represent India's last hope of winning this game.

Re: Kitply Cup One Day Series

Two good overs from Tavir and Iftikhar Anjum sees only five runs come from them.

India 6/240 from 42 overs, they need 76 from the last eight overs.
