Make way for China?
An under-15 cricket tournament organised by the Asian Cricket Council in Bangkok last week saw China reach the semi-finals stage in the lower division of the tournament. While that may not surprise die-hard cricket followers who know how the game is gaining in popularity in China, it is a significant indication of how fast the Chinese have taken to the game.
Now, to take them to the next level, the Chinese are looking at their cricket-mad neighbours to provide them with able coaches. It has been reliably learnt that Chinese diplomats in Delhi have been sounded out to scout for coaches in India.
