He goes alright- against the Indians he impressed me by toughing it out in several innings although clearly not in the best of form.
I'm still not sure about this push as the next captain though!

Fantastic ODI players, arguably the best One Day cricket in the world when you add up the runs he makes and the runs he stop in the field plus the run-outs and catches. Add to this his spinner and has it all in one dayers.
On the other hand in Test Matches i believe he is extremely overrated. He was lucky to be in the test side in the first place and i believe that Hodge, D. Hussey or Katich would do a better job in the middle order than Clarke. I'd be happy to see Clarke given the one day captaincy in the next couple of years but i don't want to see him as test captain until he becomes a consistent top class performer.
