Mombasa Tri-Series Match 6: Kenya v Canada

Canada batted first and finished 213-9

Kenya didn't have a huge target to chase but were restricted to only 144 all out.

Canada win by 69 runs!

How about that? Canada finally won and we didn't have a thread for the match.

I FELL ASLEEP!

I was on the couch, watching TV, and I fell asleep. Now I just woke up, and it's over.....AND CANADA WON!?!?!? Good stuff. At the very least, a little morale boost for the side.

One thing - I hope the Anderson Cummins experiment is over. He was bad again today, scoring one run and giving up 28 off 3 overs. If he is healthy, Bhatti in, Cummins out makes for a formidable Canadian side.

#@$$#%%@#Q@$#!@@$^%&&$@!@!!!!!!! :mad:

that was about the most polite thought about our batting in this match.

Maybe the team can raise some money by writing a manual on how to achieve certain defeat from a winning position.

About time that the batsmen started to put a higher price on their wickets. 2 run outs when only needing 4 an over is criminal.

%$!&@!!!

Chemo, listen closely:

Breathe in - breathe out. Breathe in - breathe out. That better?

Canada needed to win SOMETHING, otherwise they would be sad. You're still probably favoured to win the WCL. And at least your selectors don't put in a washed up former star who bowls awfully and bats worse. Have fun in Nairobi!

Seriously, Canada's going to get a heck of a lot better when they replace Cummins with just about anyone else.

And I think Canada and Scotland will both improve next week when their players finally get healthy and recover from the bug that struck them.

That's if they replace Cummins with someone else. They've been known to stick with old, impotent players too long too often. The only reason they do is politics, which many think is the downfall of the CCA selection process.

My XI right now, based on form and availablity, looks like this:
1 John Davison*
2 Abdool Samad
3 Sandeep Jyoti
4 Ashish Bagai+
5 Qaiser Ali
6 Sunil Dhaniram
7 George Codrington
8 Austin Codrington
9 Umar Bhatti
10 Kevin Sandher
11 Henry Osinde

Davison hits big and early, taking advantage of the power play while Samad gets his eye in. Samad, Jyoti, Bagai, Ali, Dhaniram to do most of the work, and George Codrington can help save a collapse if it comes to that. Gives us three pace (Osinde, Bhatti, A Codrington) and 4 spin (Davison, Sandher, G Codrington, Dhaniram) options to choose from and a great keeper in Bagai. Let's see if the powers that be share my views.
